Hoe maak je een route aan in Komoot?
Laten we bij het begin beginnen. Open de routeplanner en selecteer eerst je gewenste (wieler)sport: MTB (single tracks en paden, zo min mogelijk asfalt), toerfietsen (fietspaden en rustige asfaltwegen), wielrennen (snelle asfaltwegen en fietspaden). Vervolgens bepaal je het startpunt, waypoint A, door op de kaart te klikken, een adres in te voeren of simpelweg de huidige locatie te selecteren. Wil je van A naar B fietsen, selecteer dan je eindpunt B op de kaart terwijl je je startpunt selecteert.
Pro-tip:Als je een rondje wilt rijden, is het logisch om het verste punt als eindpunt te kiezen en daar eerst de weg naar je wensen in te richten. Pas als je tevreden bent met je heenreis, verander je het routetype in heen- en terugreis en kun je de door Komoot geselecteerde terugreis aanpassen aan jouw wensen. Komoot kiest de meest geschikte route tussen de waypoints die je opgeeft, rekening houdend met de sport die je kiest. Dus als je alleen een begin- en eindpunt opgeeft, biedt Komoot je dezelfde weg heen en terug.

Hoe kies je de beste waypoints?
Hier scoort de Komoot routeplanner ten opzichte van andere routeplanners. Er zijn verschillende soorten waypoints die je kunt gebruiken om je route nog beter te maken: Komoot Highlights, POI's en Trail. Bekijk foto's die andere Komoot-gebruikers tijdens hun reis hebben gemaakt. Je kunt ook de blauwe routelijn pakken en naar een (natuur)gebied slepen waar je wilt fietsen, of de lijn slepen vanaf een plek waar je niet wilt fietsen (bijvoorbeeld een stad of dorp). Wanneer u de lijn loslaat, verschijnt er een nieuw waypoint op die locatie. U kunt ook waypoints toevoegen door simpelweg op de kaart te klikken/tikken.

Hoogtepunten zijn plaatsen of routedelen die door andere Komoot-gebruikers worden aanbevolen, d.w.z. tips van experts! Vaak vind je in de highlights extra informatie over de highlights, met foto's en tips van meerdere gebruikers, zodat je kunt beslissen of je ze aan je route wilt toevoegen.

De aandachtspunten zijn onderverdeeld in categorieën, waaronder horeca, parkeerplaatsen, campings en drinkwaterpunten. Klikken op de witte zoekbalk linksboven in de (desktop)planner opent een lijst met POI's die je kunt markeren om ze zichtbaar te maken op de kaart (klik in de app op een groene waypointbalk om de POI's en Je hebt maar één categorie in plaats van meerdere tegelijk zoals op de desktop). Je voegt een POI toe aan je route door op het icoontje op de kaart te klikken, net als bij Highlights.
Pad uitzicht
Trail View is precies dat: een zicht op het pad. Het is een beetje zoals Google Street View, maar dan voor onverharde wegen! De bron van deze afbeeldingen zijn Komoot-gebruikers zelf.Beelden die onderweg zijn gemaakt en openbaar zijn geüpload, worden door Komoot op kwaliteit gefilterd, zodat je alleen scherpe beelden van het pad ziet die een goede indruk geven van de omgeving en de ondergrond. Zo kom je erachter of een pad te zanderig is voor je racefiets of te smal voor een drukke weekenddag.

In de video's zie je de routeplanner in actie op de desktop, een groot scherm is heel duidelijk, maar routeplanning gaat net zo makkelijk in de Komoot app op mobiel. De planner werkt vrijwel hetzelfde, maar je kunt geen Trail View kaartlaag toevoegen aan de app. Het is ook alleen mogelijk om de blauwe routelijn op het bureaublad te slepen en neer te zetten. Je kunt waypoints verplaatsen (uitsluitend voor Android-gebruikers) of verwijderen en nieuwe aanmaken met een enkele klik op je smartphone. wegtypen en ondergrond
In de linker menubalk van de desktop routeplanner (scroll in de app naar beneden in de planner) zie je een overzicht van het type weg en ondergrond waaruit je route bestaat. U kunt bijvoorbeeld de provinciale wegvakken lokaliseren en eventueel verwijderen door de blauwe lijn over een andere weg te slepen. In het menu zie je ook precies hoeveel kilometer fietspad, verharde grind en bijvoorbeeld singlepaadjes er in je route zitten. Zo kun je je route daarop afstemmen en kom je niet voor onaangename verrassingen onderweg te staan.

ga je de bergen in Dan is het hoogteprofiel in de routeplanner handig. Het laat je zien waar de steile beklimmingen op je route zijn, hoe lang elke klim precies is en waar op je route je de klim begint.

Bij het plannen kunt u verschillende kaartniveaus gebruiken. Op de satellietkaart staan natuurgebieden, zandvlaktes, bewoonde gebieden en berglandschappen en in de kaartlaag Open Fietskaart vind je alle knooppunten die de officiële fietsroutes in Nederland delen. Via de corticonet kun je ook trackweergave (de groene collecties grindpadfoto's) op de kaart aanzetten.
